Which Memory Speed?

Hi all,

My Advent QT5500 laptop has 1gb ram at the minute but its dreadfully slow with Vista

From a quick google the maximum memory I can put in it is 2gb DDR2, does it matter what speed I get?

Edit:

Couldn't I get 2x 2gb sticks? OR wouldn't it accept it?

What brands are best?

i put pc2 5300 in mine i dont think it will take 2 x 2gb its fine now with 2 anyway much faster
