Hi,

my step daughter needs some more RAM in her PC.

The Mother Board is FOX CONN 661MXPro, CPU Intel P4 socket 478 FSB 400Mhz-533Mhz.

The memory channels are 2 184-pin DIMM slots supporting 266/333/400Mhz DDR DRAM.

Is this the old PC-3200 RAM at 400mhz ! ?

If not what type memory do I need to get ! ?

Many thanks

Yes, that's the old circa 2003 PC3200 DDR you so often used in Pentium 4/Athlon XP systems of the time.

The problem now is that it's far more expensive than DDR2 or DDR3.

Strange this is when I sold my old rig back then I had some lovely Corsair XMS PC-3200 RAM. I sold if for £25 I thing and I did offer to the step daughter who turn it down. I realised I could have sold that corsair RAM for a lot more money and now it would be worth a tidy sum !
