updating ati radeon 9200 pci graphics (don't laugh) to a 6800ultra
(always used ati until now)
do i....

run driver cleaner
shutdown pc
remove pci card

insert agp card
reboot
install 6800 drivers?

which drivers do i need for a 6800ultra? (rig is a socket a athlon 3200xp with 1gb ram) - looking more for stability than outright performance

thanks

This is the way i would do it.

1) Uninstall ATI drivers from Add/Remove programs
2) Reboot
3) Delete all ATI folders (in program files)
4) Run driver cleaner, then CCleaner
5) Close down and insert new gfx card
6) Boot up system and install new drivers

7) OPTIONAL- Do all the above in safe mode.

If you wanted you could also remove all ATI entries from the registry manually.

I think you can unlock the extra pipelines on that card aswell.
