I was looking back through "my old documents.zip" ( <3 backups! ) when i came across some midi files i'd made. Anyways they aren't great but theres a certain amount of nostalgia for me :P
It got me in the mood to do some more composin' tho! but i don't know which to continue/complete!

So here are the links to the midi files and if you have time you can tell me which you prefer and therefore which i should try to complete.
They are all pretty short. 6 are less than 1 min 20 secs. just the last one is over 2 mins, but its slower paced so that explains it!

Midi 1 EDIT: Listen to midi 8 before you do this one because its just better :/
Midi 2 EDIT: Dont really like this one myself just included for completness.
Midi 3 EDIT: lol at the ending to this one, point and laugh at the violin (or it is with my soundbank) and imagine that bit *gone*
Midi 4 EDIT: I think i remember trying weird rhythms with this one. so may sound a little weird in palces :?
Midi 5
Midi 6 i realised is just a shorter version of 7 so no need for that to be here.
Midi 7
Midi 8 is the same tune as Midi 1 but i prefer it. Mainly pianos here :)

thx in advance!

Midi1 - Sounds like a dodgy old style ringtone (or something you can make on scott mills tonetag)

Midi2 - Without sounding harsh; the majority of it just clashes and sounds a mess

Midi3 - Dunno what to say, the start is far too repetitive, the latter half isn't too bad, until the really high tones kick in, and the ending is cheesy :p

Midi4 - Reminds me of when I messed about with a keyboard/piano at the age of about 10

Midi5 - Sounds like a soundtrack from something like streets of rage  Although why you randomly drop from the tune to just the repetitive back beat im not sure

Midi7 - Sounds like the end to a long winded old school 2D RPG :p For some strange reason I like that one
Midi8 - See Midi1

i did preface the post by saying they arent very good, i know this because i like music, they are indeed like when you were messing about on a keyboard at school at the age of 10 and i shamelessly dont care about that :p :D

im not a musician! i just having some fun mucking about :)

EDIT: oh btw i like your oldschool rpg comment, because some of these i made when i was working on my own RPGMaker 2000 rpg ;P!

Just listening to them ill edit as i go along.

Midi 1: Has a good melody in parts, sounds like the chorus part, i like the melody, maybe tone down the repetitve hi hat sound.

Midi 2 : Tad of a mess, dont continue with this one :)

Midi 3 : I like the melody good use of chords and different scales, l like it! Best so far

Midi 4 : Very in yeh face, bit too repetitive.

Midi 5 : What paradigm said

Midi 7 :D Does sound like its supposed to be for a game! is good though

Midi 3 for me!

5bJosua im listening to these at the same time as you, so all your comments are making complete sense. I think i like the same ones as you and probably the same as the vast majority so i think theres one or two ill think about continuing.

EDIT: Im kinda thinking between 3, 7 and 8.
