Which Mouse and Mouse Mat do you use and why?

A4Tech X748 mouse (its brilliant, soo many settings, + fully customisable macros and really comfy fit to hand) and a steelseries of someform as a mouse mat (Good glide, easy to clean, cheap ^^ )

I've just made a thread on here about my mouse problems, but I thought I'd post in here to ask for some advise as well.

I'm currently using the MX518 but I don't have a mouse surface at all, I've recently started playing CS:S again, and I've started having problems with the mouse sensitivity, I just can't find the sweet spot for this mouse at all, do you guys think if I were to buy a nice gaming surface this would no longer be an issue, or are there any other mouses that would be better for me than the MX518?

Currently use a logitech G500 mouse with an ocz behemoth pad. The mouse was an rma replacement for my old rev 1 G5, bought the mouse pad in mm, prior to this i used the desk surface, this was causing a bit of wear to both mouse and desk. All in, a really nice smooth combo.

I use a MS IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 - what I consider to be one of the best mice ever released, in terms of feel and grip anyways, I have quite big hands, and find this so comfortable!

Mouse mat is currently a Steelpad 5L exactly the same as this > http://forum.i3d.net/attachments/vraag-en-aanbod/11436d1199741182-tl-steelpad-5l-127310.jpg

I have that resting on a DKT Megamat that I used to use before, which is slightly larger and is very soft.> http://www.techfreaks.org/reviews/roundup/eglidedktmegamat.jpg

Really tempted to buy a Boogie Bug AimB.Pad, sheerly because of the size, I rather a larger pad to go on the desk so I know that the mouse will never fly off when I move quick as I use a rly low sens in games.

Razer DeathAdder 3.5G and Razer Destructor.

Most comfortable mouse I've ever used. The hard mat gives very smooth, precise motion with almost no noise.

Have you disabled mouse acceleration?

Have you disabled mouse acceleration?

Where do I find this option?

@PESolution, are there a lot of people that play CS Promod?

Tbh mate, I'm a total noob at CS:S so I don't really think it'd be a good idea for me to be playing with pros quite yet!

I'll have a look at it all the same though.

Thanks for that Locke, gonna try it out not mate.

Do I just put that code into the end of the target properties in my Steam shortcut?

did any of you guys use a G5 and have now found a mouse that you feel is better than the g5 all round or anything in particular?if so what is it?
thanks

Im using a Trust GXT14 on my bare desk. No real problems with it really - great piece of kit.

Have been tempted to give the Roccat Kone or Coolermaster Sentinel a go though.

Hate the G5 and Razers (owned both).
