Which mouse?

Hmm I didn't realise the Diamondback 3g had stopped being made. That's a shame because it would have been the perfect alternative to the Boomslang.

Saying that, the Boomslang uses the same 3g infra red engine so it's bound to be good. And if you like the shape, then go for it. This site might be worth a look.

Woah scary! :D

If my mouse ended up being like one of the ones in the does your bsce look like s.... thread, would ocUK replace/refund it for me? I don't mind taking a risk if they would, and the fact that that's how many problems happened over 2 years doesn't bother me too much.

I think now it comes down to ocUK's policy on this? Say if I received the mouse in this condition would they refund/replace it?

I KNOW THE MX518 IS A GOOD MOUSE
Yes caps was necessary for once :D

I'm just really petty and don't want to go with the most used thing, and the MX518 doesn't really look like anything special, at least no more special than a standard mouse.

Can someone from ocUK tell me what the policy would be if the Boomslang came in that condition?

I imagine they'll change it if it arrives damaged. It could be just a one off thing as well.

yeah that looked like it had been beaten up pretty badly, and with all the packaging the CE2007 comes with I imagine 99% of damage will be stopped just from that.

I think put down the boomslang for now, if it comes damaged or breaks I'll get a refund and get an MX518 or a Cyborg V3 if they turn out to be as much of a bargain as they seem to be at the moment.

Aren't copperhead's ancient though? And they're still only 2000Dpi?

The G500 isn't in stock at ocUK and I really don't have any need for 5700Dpi, especially not in a mouse that still looks pretty standard.

And you say "Ideally" i'd stretch my budget, but if i stretch my budget I have to take it out somewhere, and I'm not gonna drop from a 5870 to a 5850 just to have a nicer mouse.

Like I said, I'm a very casual pc gamer, I enjoy playing AA3 with teamwork but that's about as serious as it gets, I could get a lot better before requiring a better mouse to get any better, tbh I don't need any more than a standard mouse for the most part, but I figured I'd do my rig justice with a decent mouse.

If you've got your heart set on the Boomslang, go for it or you'll regret it. The IR 3G sensor is brilliant and superior to laser sensors, as found in the copperhead.

My brother's G5 is 2000dpi as well but I can't stand it compared to my DB 3G.

I bought a Logitech g500 for around £65 (seems to be a new model of the MX518) and have never looked back.

If it is anything like mine the MX518 should be brilliant.
