I'm thinking of ordering a razor mamba and need a new mouse mat to go with it. I want one with a wrist-rest but couldn't see any on overclockers... am I missing them? Any recommendations?

Im currently using the Razor Deathadder. I have had all sorts of problems with the laser on certain mats, most noticeably on mats with an reflective service. However, I have the problem put behind me. I'm using the Qpad at the moment, it is working wonders for me.

Oh..about the the wrist rest, I'm sure you can buy those additionally. Not that many gaming mouse mats comes with those as it will intrude your reactions and mouse movements in certain ways.

To be honest, i don't get these whole professional mouse mats. I picked up a gel wrest mousemat for about £5 from a local shop and it works perfectly. Most mice work better on soft surfaces anyway.

ah ok, well i'll stick with the one i've got for now, see how the mouse works on it. Only cost £10 from the local shop and served me well, just a bit worn now.

Btw nice choice for a mouse... they have come down in price by a fair bit.. although I would personally never pay that much for a mouse. Having said that, it's all to do with your personal preference really. Like I have spent over £100 for a set of quality headphone which not many would do :)

The mat looks nice, but I do have a small desk. So I went for the smaller Qpad. Keyboard wise I'm using an ordinary Microsoft keyboard, I liked the feel of the keys and the size is good.

By the way siumatfung as in little bee? I just noticed your name is actually Chinese lol.

Invest in a metal mousemat, I've had my razer exactmat for 5 years now and only JUST starting to show wear. PC has been used pretty much every day since I bought it, well worth the £££ if you base it over the timescale vs a standard mat.

To be honest, one could spend out on something branded etc but I have had several years use from the spongey £5 one with water dropletts on and I just don't see any need to upgrade :)

Steelseries Heavy+ It's very thick so your wrist doesn't ache and it's massive for low sensitivity fps gaming

Fnatic mousepad Same reason as the Steelseries Heavy+ but the Fnatic one as some nice graphics.

Same here. I also use my 7 year old Allsop rain drop mat and it's still got plenty of life left in it. I've never needed to fork out loads on mouse mats, I think it's a big con. Pick the type of surface you prefer, be it smooth or cloth and get the cheapest.

I had a free mousemat for years, but the qck+ i have now is 4 times bigger, much smoother and generally nicer to play games with, and it's only £10.

At the moment I use a coolermaster dual sided aluminium pad, and it's served me very well over the last year or so, considering I paid about £10 for it from a competitor. It worked perfectly with my Sharkoon Rush mouse and now my Logitech MX1100.
The only gripe I have with it is the little rubber pads on the corners have started to come off, but then I don't generally look after things that well.
