Yes i know i should get an ATI card. But it will not work with my TH2GO. And i don't want ATI eyefinity. The DVI converter is £80.

So which nVidia card? It's replacing OcUK GTX 8800 which finaly went today. It lasted a good few months though after sticking it in the oven. Can goto £250

Do i go for a good GTX 260 and save my cash.

I'm tempted to go GTX 260 and save cash. Should be a improvment on the old GTX 8800 which had no problem with CODMW last week.

Or go really cheap GTS 250, but i think they would be less powerful than the GTX 8800.

All help greatful.

it's a long shot but fermi may be in that price range. If not you might be able to ebay some second hand Nvidia cards from people upgrading lol. It might potentially drop prices too but if you definitely want one now go for gtx 260 if you want to save cash or the best you can afford. If you can stretch out another £18 you could get a 285 (from ocuk).

Unfortunatly I don't think the gigabyte 275 SoC will be in stock - and the 260 SoC seems to have vanished - which IMO was the only 200 series nVidia card left worth purchasing.

Your paying a lot for the Gainwards 260 for some extra VRAM most of which you won't use. I would try and see if you can find the 260 SoC in stock and failing that get the cheapest 200 series card you can find.

Well it will probably be the cheapest 260 - but basically the cheapest of whatever 260, 275 or 28x card you can find (not including the GTS250 as thats a rebadged 9 series card).

5870/50 then.

Edit:
Just looked at the prices of TH2GO. Would it not be cheaper/better to sell the TH2GO and get the sapphire adaptor?

I would have thought so considering how expensive they are.

I wouldn't have a clue how much they'd go for though.

I'd assume that Eyefinity would have better support for games, especially recent ones than TH2G as well.

buy 260 soc they still around can be found for 150 £ i just got one today

Just a heads up, but ATi card now work with TH2G.

Just check Matrox site, you are right, ATI would work at 3840x1024.

If i sold the TH2GO, and went eyefinity £300. Would the 5850 + DVI adapter work 3x19" 1280x1024 and a 26" Samsung TV like i do now?
