Hi,
Quick question, which of these 3 SSDs would you recommend? I have around £100 budget and want to replace an ageing HDD with a 1TB SSD. It's an older system (E8400, Asus P5Q pro mobo, 8gb, Win7 64bit) so will be upgrading the whole lot, but not until next year, but need a new SSD now.

Samsung 860 QVO £105
WD Blue 3d NAND 1TB £110
TeamGroup L5 Lite £110
Crucial MX500 £120
Seagate Barracuda £128

I'm favouring the WD Blue, looks like it has the best read/write speeds. At the top it says 5 years warranty, but in description says limited 3 year warranty? I used to have a Samsung SSD but it dies after 5 years (about a month out of warranty) so a little put off by theirs. Crucial or Seagate worth the extra few quid?

As well as price & speed I'm also looking at life expectancy/reliability.

Thanks.

I personally had the Crucial MX500 in my spare PC and it was a fantastic drive.

But of the 5 between those prices, you may as well go for the WD Blue which also has a 5 year warranty.

I wouldn't go for the Samsung 860 QVO as been hearing the NAND isn't as good on it.

Side note, you can get the 1TB MX500 about £21 if you look a little harder...
