Sony are overpriced and aren't particularly competitive in terms of what they offer.
I personally don't have issues with high end LG tvs (but then you may as well buy a samsung?). However, for midrange and high end Samsung do have the edge over them in my personal opinion.
Ultimately though , go and look at it, have a feel of the UI, is it something you can live with? If it does what YOU need it to - go for it. Sure on paper there may be differences, but not everyone cares about it.
Go by the actual TV, not brand. I have a toshiba 32" that I recently bought for about £330. It's far, far better than the competitors at the same price. Backed up by reviews on the net hailing it as having picture quality that far outstrips it's price![]()
What Toshiba do you have?
I've got a 4-5 year old Regza 32inch 1080p tv, and the heat it gives out is incredble.
I'm looking for something new that doesn't have such a high heat output, my room is like a furnace with it on.
Panasonic > Samsung > LG
