So you back up onto a hd then take it to your mates house only to have to pick it up, bring it back to your house back up any new files and rinse and repeat? Cloud storage would be a good option for you although judging by your posts in this thread you are weirdly proud not to use it.

Main drive in computer, setting up a gen8 server plxus cloud storage. This is mainly for photo's. I have tried Hubic but it was shockingly slow. Uploads, web portal very poor. Add to that their forums had 8 pages of spam on them so didn't inspire confidence.

I have two drives in my main PC, Data and Backup.

Backup then gets copied to a HP Gen8 server

The problem is I do it manually. :D

Next stage is to copy it to the cloud but I haven't decided on a provider yet.

Finally got my internet upgraded to Fibre, So was able to now utilise my Amazon Prime account. So got everything set-up last night to start backing all my Photography folder uploaded.

Around 75gig in total with all Raws and exports and various old jpg's from the past :)

Transferred: 54885137887 Bytes (2260.16 kByte/s)
Errors: 0
Checks: 5130
Transferred: 8664
Elapsed time: 6h35m14.5s

This was output from the rclone I am using todo the upload business, Had already uploaded 15gig odd previously.

Fairly happy with Prime, It allowed me to saturate my upload the entire night it seems :D

How will you keep your photo's in sync with amazon? Can you create a desktop folder or something? I use robomirror so just wondering how I would map it to amazon

I will be using rclone (http://rclone.org/) it doesn't have a GUI but is run through the command line.

You can get it to sync your folder to Amazon, it will also delete files etc that have altered on your local (Option to just copy instead of alter), But what ever folder structure you have on your Machine will be synced to Amazon.

Currently I am just running a small .bat file that will run the rclone command to sync any changes, So I will run this once I have new photos etc in the folder.
