Windows XP SP1/SP2?
Windows Vista 32/64?
Windows 7 32/64?
Mac OS X ?
Linux ?

I just wonder which one do you prefer and why people prefer Windows 7 over Vista? cos of mess up in Vista and need some improvemenet include speed time for boot up in W7? Im looking at both Vista and W7 - some are same but some change like face lift and clean it up in Windows 7 with optional install in feature if you need to use. I looked at both but seem wee bit change nothing big new dont you think? MS may admit there some problem in Windows 7 later time after October 22

None of them.

Windows XP SP3

It does everything i need. Cant really see the point in upgrading OS to Vista/Windows 7 if you are having no issues with XP. When/If i get new hardware (still on 939) i will upgrade to a newer OS

Theheyes,

Thank you for your support of Windows 7! Have you pre-ordered your copy of Win 7 yet? If you are planning on purchasing Windows 7 when it is released it may be helpful to know you don't have to wait until October to reserve your copy of Win 7! You can pre-order your copy of Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional today. For more information, see the Windows 7 Pre-Order offer page here: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/buy/offers/pre-order-ended.aspx

Also, if you are currently a student you may qualify for the $30 upgrade to Windows 7. For more information, please go here: http://windows7.digitalriver.com/st...=IIqm7AoBAiMAAGKgLTYAAABE&rests=1254165355608

If I was building a new system now then I'd probably go with Windows 7 based on my experiences with the RC, (and before Jessica jumps in I have three copies of Win 7 on pre-order already thank you :)).

I'm currently running XP and Vista and in their current release state they're both fine but for a new build you might as well go for the new version.

Of course problems will be found with it after release, it's a large software product and theres a limit on the amount of testing that can happen before release.

Mac OSX and Linux ... they both have their places, I have a Mac Mini which I use a lot and like it too but the EULA prevents running the OS on non-Apple hardware ... Linux I use on servers instead of desktops.
