Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case - Gun Metal Black (No PSU)

+ very quiet
+ easy to fit stuff in
+ seprate PSU & MB chambers
+ well made (good internal design)

- looks boring (dont like the exterior much)
- £118
- heavy

OR

NZXT Hush Classic Series Silent Midi-Tower Case - Black

+ quiet
+ £68.99
+ looks funky (like it)
+ lightweight

- harder to fit stuff in
- one chamber
- cheaply manufactured case.

any other cases that you think might work with empasis on quiet, cool, nicely designed. ultimatly its up to me but both cases have good and bad points from my needs...

I would take the Antec over the NZXT any day.

What about the Antec 300? I have always liked the looks of it...

Clicky

Only problem with the 300 is that its actually not that quiet. At least when compared with the p182.

As said above, i would go with the antec p182 over the nzxt. Much better build quality from what i have seen. Perhaps you could try sourcing a p182se if you want something a little more "funky". Or perhaps have a look at the 900-2....;)

NZXT Hush Classic Series Silent Midi-Tower Case - Black

+ quiet
Fans might be low speed ones but that case is plain noisy by both design and construction.
- That low weight means very thin panels.
- Hard HDD mounting guarantees resonances/vibrations with previous point making it worser.
- Hole in front guarantees leaking of noise.
- Very restrictive fan vents for very little airflow and more turbulence noise.
- PSU in hottest place, worsened by previous point.
- That Akasa Sh*tmat is acoustically about impotent, if it does anything that's only because panels themselves are tin foil.

From noise aspect price of this bling-bling trash should be one tenth of P182.

There's silver version of original P180 which might be available:

It was a limited edtion case, and there are none left.

Ive just found a place that has it in stock/available....£98.24 inc VAT. Not half bad seeing as the standard p182 is about the same price. (give or take). ;)

Fancy one myself but already got a antec mini p180. :o

EDIT: says available next week :)
