Depend what you are using the drive for.

If you are constantly disconnecting it go for the quick removal option.

If it is pretty much plugged in all the time go for the performance setting.

I only use it for back-up so it only reall gets switched on when I'm doing that.

So with the option I now have (quick removal) I can just switch the drive of without using safely remove hardware?
