Home premium is good for home users but the true sweet spot is Pro, especially since with all the offers around launch it was actually a couple of quid cheaper.
The food chain of Windows OSes:
7 > 2000 > XP > 98SE > 95C > Vista > NT4 > Me

That is all wrong. XP is better than 2000 and both vista and NT4 are better than 98/95.
7 > Vista/XP (Depends on the machine) > 2000 > NT4 > 98 > ME > 95
you need proof of purchase which i no longer have , looked everywhere lol
I think its a matter of opion. So here is my pecking order
7>XP>98>Vista>3.11>95>2000>ME
I used Vista Alternative Media order if that works for OEM too. No mention of needing proof of purchase. Cost me £7.88 back in May 2008.
