Not sure if this is possible via a wireless connection.

I have to cover a large office area, and am on a widows domain with an exchange server. I need a portable device that will pick emails from our exchange mail server, as i wander around.

I know this can be done via activesync with a usb dock, but i am away from the office for too long for this to be practical. We have good wifi coverage around this site and wodered if anybody new if it was possible to pick up email via wifi to the server?

Won't you email client just do this by default?

i.e. receive emails.

We would need a lot more info about your setup... Either way look up "Activesync OTA" or "Over The Air".

Cheers!

Its been a long time since i used mobile devices in work. I used to have a Ipaq that had a docking station that would sync my exchabge email via activesync/usb.

I later heard that Activesync was working via WiFi, but sometime later MS disabled it due to security issues.

I am wondering whether i can sync via WiFi to my domain so that i can get exchange mail, without any dependency on a service provider - I am trying to avoid the extra costs when at work of receiving mail.

Sorry for the confusion.
