Which Platform ?

I've had lots of crashes on PC and only had 1 or 2 on Xbox. I'd definitely go for the 360 version as I find playing with a gamepad more comfortable than keyboard (although I recognise that I am in the minority in this respect).

Sort your PC out then. I haven't had my PC crash in years. (seriously)
 
PC first as it's always the best platform, PS3 second so I can play in silence and Xbox third as I hate the noise and don't want to buy too many games for a console with an average life-span of 1-2yrs.
 
PS3 mainly, quietness, pad, blu-ray box lol, etc.
360 for exclusives or if the PS3 port is bad,
PC ill try anything just to see how it compares to the consoles,
Wii never.
 
I usually go for the game which is cheaper unless the xbox version has some enjoyable achievements (like GTA4).
 
I buy pretty much every game I get for the 360, as I very rarely game on my PC any more except for games like Medieval 2 and Footy Manager. I much prefer sitting on a comfy couch playing games on a 42" LCD instead of sitting on a PC chair hunched over a keyboard and mouse.

I agree, the couch is nice :) but agreed with others on the FPS & RTS games re the PC
 
RTS I'd definitely agree, but I'm happy with FPS on the console. Sure the control method isn't as accurate, and perhaps the online side suffers from a reduced number, but I still feel happier playing them on a console :)
 
Do you think that the FPS preference comes from whichever style you first get used to?

I have to admit, I've only played Halo3 on the consoles for FPS styles... and find it pretty tricky to track a decent shot, the mouse on a PC feels much more intuitive to me.

I don't think so at all.

I played FPSs on the PC years before consoles. I've been through phases of playing more on the console, and then phases of playing more on the PC.

I have no preference, I'm more than happy to pickup and play on either, just some games suit the PC more and other suit consoles more.

I know some people wont agree, but I believe some FPSs do work better on consoles.
 
Not for me personally, as I was a fairly competent (though never special) FPS gamer on the PC way before I started playing them on the console. I think for me it's a convenience thing. I do 99% of my gaming on the Xbox, so it just makes sense to play FPS games there as well. I've become pretty good with the pad so it never feels like I'm having trouble aiming or moving, which is the main thing for me.

I'm slowly getting drawn to this conclusion myself. Comfy sofa wins over precision.
