I currently have a Sapphire 5670 1GB and need to upgrade. I am running it on a 250W power supply.
I have a M2N68-LA motherboard
I'm only looking to spend around £100, so i know i'm not going to get anything amazing.
I'm looking to upgrade to a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6750 2048MB
Obviously i need to upgrade my psu: (looking for a cheap psu, i know it won't be amazing)

OcUK Swift 650W V2 Silent PSU

Are they definitely compatible?

Can anyone recommend a better card or psu?

Thanks

Yeah, i suppose i could spend a little more

Well let's look at the scenario in more detail:

What resolution do you game at? What games do you play most?

Put a total cap on your spenditure and you will (almost) always get what you pay for but depending on the resolution etc the 6850 may even be unnecessary and wasting your money.

If you can maybe spend £130 then I would get the 6850, it's a great card for £100 and the PSU I linked.

1920x1080
GTA IV, SWTOR, Skyrim, BF3, Dead Island and a few more
Ok yeah, 130 is fine. Thank you :)

Then yeah, I'd go for the 6850.

You like Dead Island? I just felt like a FEDEX employee (go get this, bring it here x10000)

EDIT: Good thinking Surveyor - thinking outside of the box (sry cudnt resist that one :D)

I would go for this for PSU

and

If you can strech that far one of these

Failing that one of the 6770s with a good dual slot cooler would be enough but the 6850 should give you alittle extra grunt.

I would never skimp on the PSU. I have a Corsair 950w PSu and don't need anything like that power but would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

It's up to you and your money, but there is nothing wrong with the Cooler Master PSu I specced originally and I wouldn't drop the GFX card for the sake of getting an Antec or Corsair PSU.

The safety on the Coolermaster is good, it just won't stretch beyond the stated 450w.
