which psu?

My trusty tagen decided to end itself late last night so im in the market for a new psu. At the moment it will only be running a 1.8ghz athlon, 2gb ram, x850xt pe, 2HDD's.

However im going to be upgrading shortly to something along the lines of a Q6600, 4GB ram and a 8800GTX.

Id like to my psu to be future proof enough to cover my coming upgrade so im looking for suggestions for a good quality, reliable psu since ive been out of the loop on psu's for a while.

It can easily sound like a broken record but the corsair hx range of psu's really can’t be beaten on quality for their price.

I agree, but there are plenty more as well.

Seasonic (who make the HX PSUs) and Silverstone are also very good. A lot of Ultra's PSUs are made by high quality OEM's so watch out for some bargains there as well-I still regard the 600w X-Pro EE as the best quality PSU i have seen, and i run a review site.

thanks for the help Think I'm going to go with the Corsair HX 620, going by the reviews on the site i don't think i can go wrong.
