The XFX pro 1000w platinum (while it's on offer)

or the 860w Seasonic platinum

i always wanted a seasonic PSU in my new build, but as the 1000w is also platinum and will have lower loads than the 860w so run quieter and more efficient (supposedly) would you say the xfx is indeed better than the seasonic and worth getting it for £20 less?

The Seasonic has the longer Warranty (7 years as opposed to 5 for the XFX) for that reason alone I'd go for the former (That & the fact I own 2 Seasonic PSU's)

Go for the XFX, their just Seasonic innards in a different casing and IIRC those two are actually different wattage variants of the same Seasonic model, so unless you want to spend more on getting less wattage the XFX is the better deal. 7 vs 5 years on the warranty isn't worth thinking about as you wouldn't be using it in 7 years anyway.
