Which RAID controller?

I have a motherboard with both a GigaRAID IDE RAID controller and a SiliconImage SATA RAID controller. I'm thinking of setting up a RAID0 array on two drives (SATA or PATA), but I'm unsure which controller to go for.

Any suggestions?

Which board is it? I have a feeling the GigaRAID controller is the one with the issue which limits the throughput from the array.

OK, that's not a problem then, it's one of the newer boards which has the transfer rate issue (still can't remember which one mind).

Personally I'd use the SATA controller, there won't be much in it in terms of performance but buying IDE drives now is daft given that Intel have basically abandoned support for it in their latest chipsets so SATA gives better futureproofing.
