Which rgb fans are silent?

Hi does anyone have any suggestions as to which rgb fans are silent and motherboard controllable?

I have 3 x ezdiy 120mm fans installed
And although their light output is exceptional i just find that their sound output is too existent for my liking

Plus, the other trouble with these fans is the lights can be controlled but the actual RPM speed of the fans is not controllable by the mobo

Therefore my requirements are:

- 3/4 RGB silent fans
- controllable RGB lights and controllable fan RPM speed by the mobo.

Any recommendations? Or do these types of fans actually exist

If we want to get technical this is my current fan ratings:

  • Size:120*120*25mm
  • Fan Speed:1200(±10%)RPM
  • Noise Level:21dBA Max:25dBA
  • Airflow:48.7CFM
  • Air Pressure: 0.9mm-H20 Min:0.6mm-H20
  • Bearing :Hydraulic Bearing
  • Rated Voltage :DC12V
  • Rated Power:1.68W
So im prob running em at 21dba
So im looking for something even less should it exist

I see other fans listed as ‘silent’ at 25db which i struggle to understand

Most fans are quiet if you keep them below a 1000 rpm you want pwm fans to control the speed.

Does it have to be RGB or can it be ARGB ? If ARGB then Take a look at the Thermalright TL-C12C-S X3 we hich are good value for money but remember to lower the speed

Thanks
I think it needs to be argb

As they fit my mobo the 5volt ones
I will take a look at those fans and in specific the db rating

Ok so them fans are rated at < 26db my current fans are prob 21db which is less

As u said prob depends on speed so less than 1000rpm
Guess the adv of the fans u mentioned is their speed can be controlled

The fans are rated at 26db because they run at max 1550rpm , adjust the speed and your good

so the colours look a bit diff on the newer fans plus there are no reviews for the V3 either on a very well known site

i have the sl120 v2's and very good but over 900 RPM not silent and don't really move much air under 900
im personally thinking of going back to the D30's, stunning fans and the RGB looks amazing

D30 phanteks?

If so, They are pricey nearly £30 a fan

Aside from fan speed, a lot of fan noise is created through vibrations imparted into the case, through airflow noise as it passes through any rads, mesh or grilles you have, and through individual case resonance as the airflow reverberates around inside it.
It's a pretty subjective thing, and dependent upon several variables. A lot of people think my case/fan setup is really quiet, but I still say it's like an F-14 taking off from an aircraft carrier!

Any fan with a standard 3-pin or 4-pin connector should be mobo-controllable.

That the ones, when i got mine they was £25 each multi packs was cheaper.
wait for January sales some prices will be inflated for that and to make the last batch of offers look good too

if your looking more budget the SK-120 and SK-140 are also very good from phanteks too
look around they can be had for about £7 each

But did make me ponder regarding which way a fan faces inside of a case

I mean right now it is all ascetics lol
