Hi, I have a mixture of RAM and wondered which setup would be best...
Motherboard: Asus AV8 Deluxe
CPU: AMD64 4000 SD
GFX: X800 Pro
Ram:
2 x 512MB PC2700
2 x 512MB PC3200
1 x 1024MB PC2700
I have four DIMM slots on the board, and what I don't use on this, goes inside my Media Centre.
The motherboard mentions Dual Channel, for this I guess I'd need to have two pairs, giving me total of 2GB, but running at PC2700 speeds.
Another option is to have 2.5gb ram in, but this wouldn't run in dual channel, would this make much of a difference?
I have no idea about overclocking, but could I up the ram speeds a bit to all run a bit faster, inline with the cpu?
