Currently I have a gaming rig/family pc and a gaming htpc. I've decided it would make more financial sense to keep one pc which I could afford to keep up to date rather than keeping both machines.

My gaming rig was put together a few years ago but is pretty solid: Asus p6x58d-e mono/i7 920/6gb ram/96gb ssd & gtx 275. My htpc is around half a year old & has: sb i3 @ 3.1ghz/z68 gigabyte mobo/8 gb ram/m4 64gb ssd/bd rom & a gtx 560 ti.

Out of the above kit what would you keep & what would you sell? I'll be using a crucial m4 64gb ssd & my haf x nvidia edition case but am confused about all else!

Advice is appreciated! :)

The SB i3, if it is good enough for all your usage. If not, the Z68 gives you the option to change to a i5 IB later on. And the i3 will be more friendly to your electricity supplier, if it has Lucid Virtu available.

! I would probably look to key a 2500k at some point if I kept the sb setup. In your guys opinion, would my sb setup be better than the x58 if I were to replace the i3 with an i5?

looking at the drop in value of these things, especially with ocuk flogging my mobo b grade at £100 I just devided to keep my stuff rather than sell it for such low money- always handy to have a 2nd rig and x58 hasn't let me down yet :)
