Which Shredder?

I hate Fellows shredders. I had a cross-cut one, and used to feed it only 4-5 sheets at any one time. Every 4-6 months, without fail, it would break. Before returning it to Argos my first time, I took it apart - and it was a plastic tooth on a cog that had snapped.

Second one did EXACTLY the same thing, as did the third - by which time I was fedup, and just binned it!

I now have a Texet shredder, and I can shred my bank cards through it too. Not tried a CD, but I may just to say how it copes. It was only £20, too!

Some of you guys must do an awful lot of heavyweight shredding.

My cross-cut unit cost £15 from what is probably the biggest stationers on the highstreet and it's still going strong 2 years later.

I shred anything that has so much as my name on it - perhaps you get a lot more correspondence and have a lot more paperwork than me.

no, but when someone gives me such a big budget for something that is usually so cheap i tend to recomend the most expensive thing i can find

Indeed. It's a bit like walking into a Lotus car dealer, and coming out with a BMW.
