Which single song from your generation sums up your decade of adolesence

If it was just one, it would be

Too many others come to mind when I think back but yeah Firestarter sits at the top I think.

Well, we're not talking *best* songs....

Bryan Adams - (Everything I Do) I Do It For You

Sixteen weeks at number one. It felt like a lifetime.....

but did it sum up your decade of adolescence?
I think you need something a bit stronger than that.

I don't really know how you can 'sum up' a decade of music. But if I was to pick a single track that was both extremely popular, and decent.....it would probably be something from You've Come A Long Way Baby by Fatboy Slim. Although I was technically an adult when it came out :P

Hard to pick just one, I LOVED my music back at school. First 5 that come to mind are:

Edit: Oh man I gotta add in 1 more:

Edit 2: Man, got me all nostalgic. So many albums got me through school: Illmatic, I am, Da Game Is to Be Sold Not to Be Told, Still I Rise, All Eyez on Me, Black Sunday, Forever, Last Meal, The Miseducation of Lauren Hill, The Firm Album... and of course I can't not mention Chronic 2001! Damn.... The Slim Shady LP!

NWA.

Straight Outta Compton. Before the rave scene came around, me and my 14/15 year old mates were all in to that. Watching the film when it released was quite an eye opener if based in fact. Amazing just how simple and shambolic the whole operation was, and yet they were a global sensation.

Not sure if the video is censored so leaving it off, still a kick*** tune today.

So what part of "which single song" failed to register :-D ??

Though i prefer we come one but this is by far more iconic.

and notable mentions to the below when i was discovering music away from my parents road trip choices!

This is tough because my decade of adolescence spanned two main genre, dance and indie rock.

If I had to pick one song, it would probably be Roll With It by Oasis. It's far from my favourite track on that album but it feels like the focal point for nostalgia, released in the summer when I was 15, all the Oasis/Blur hype, listening to it round a mates house and playing sport in his garden etc.
