Go for a dual core 4200x2. Going forward you will see a good performance increase. Wont be disapointed

Kotu said:im wondering what to upgrade to as well. At the moment I have a 3800 x2, im wondering whether an opty 185 would be much of an improvement, I don't really mind the cost since I don't plan to upgrade again any time soon.
Kotu said:im not overclocking at all at the moment, so 2GHz, best i managed was about 2.1GHz (bad cpu maybe?) so im not too keen on overclocking aggressively.

I managed to whack it really quickly to 2.7Ghz with temperatures reaching 55 degrees on each core when Priming them! I will push it further when I get a new heatsink
For £75 (what I spent on it), 2.7Ghz is bloody good

Same as me bar I went for the 6300 and clocked it to 3.4 using the ds3 board. I got a good part of the money spent selling my 939 AGP stuff on the bay. For example I got £80 for my Abit 3rd eye mobo thats £10 more than I brought it for 2 years back!AmateurJimmy said:same cpu as i am cuurently gonna try and sell for a E6600
