Firstly let me explain my situation.

I have a standalone pc in the garage, with no monitor or keyboard attached. This pc is acting as a server for my CCTV around the house. Also this pc is networked wirelessly.

Sometimes i need to change programme settings an such on this pc and have to bring my house pc monitor downstairs and plug that in aswell as keyboard and mouse. This is a nuissance at times!

Which software will allow me to take over this pc from my other networked pc's?

Thanks.

RealVNC? LogMeIn? TightVNC? Remote Desktop?

umm, remote desktop!

failing that, logmein free is good, but you'd need to set it up on the pc first (using a keyboard and mouse)

I dont mind installing software on the pcs aslong as it lets me take full control of the pc.

sounds good. I'll give it a try. thanks. the cctv pc runs xp pro and i will take control of it with the laptop which is vista. That should be ok wont it?

Still a vote for logmein here,

Use it from my work pc to home so that i can check download progress and such. Also use it to my bro-laws so can help him out when he gest stuck with drivers and such.
