upgrade options, will order next we as i have some money now

1)
keep my current system
+530w PSU
+Radeon HD 5830

2)
Keep my current system
+Phenom x2
+AM3 motherboard
+4gb RAM

3)
Keep my current system
+Cheap bundle

4)
keep my current system
+Core 2 Quad
+Watercooler

please take into account cost, on a very tight budget ~£200 (less is better)
currently on a 400w PSU (<dont think that is in the signature)

What is your current PSU, you could go for a second hand Q6600 and look at the Nvidia 460 GTX.

I'd try & find a used Q6600/Q6700 TBH, you don't have access to the members market yet

my PSU is a 400w ASUS, not sure on make and model because got it off a friend who upgraded to a Phenom X6 and a 400w couldnt sopport it.
and also i am looking/prefering ATI/AMD, not a big fan of Intel/nVidia. (no reason, just prefere my AMD and ATI)

If you can afford it? then great.

A Q6600 goes for around £70-80 with postage.

would almost definately get the 1066mhz, because this makes it just one less thing to wrorry about durning overclocking, might order the ram tomorow, will all of this show up, i have herd about problems with my motherboard accepting all 4gigs of ram?

if your using a 32bit operating system, it can only address/see about 3.4GB

is a q6600 enogh to run some of the latest games eg MW2, BF BC2, AC II, ?

Yes, should be able to run them fine, once you get a good cooler you should be able to overclock to around 3.2 - 3.6ghz ~

I think I had mine at 3.4.

depends on the physical size of your case, a lot of the other coolers are very tall, and you may not get the side panel on.

I know your spec says massive case, but how massive?

By massive I ment in bight length and ability to hold most graphics cards. Although with the TX3 on there is still loads of room
