Which SSd drive

Hello

Have got a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H and was wanting to purchase either a Crucial M4 or an Intel 520 ssd, and was wondering if there is any conflicts that would cause these drives not to work at there best with my motherboard.

It should be fine. You mightn't get the full speed of those drives on that board though, as apparently the SATA3 controller on it isn't very good.

It it will still work much faster than a normal hard drive though.

Is there a problem with the AMD SATA 3 controller?

I have personally tested the AMD one and it is very good.

Sorry yeah ignore me, for some strange reason I thought the controller on that board was Marvell.

The AMD is decent enough yes.
