Just having a look at the prices and am considering the following for my first SSD which would obviously just be a boot drive in my MBP:

Patriot PS-100 64GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive for £69.99
Is it worth the punt for that price or will I be asking for trouble??

Intel X25-V Value 40GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive for £84.59
Slow write speeds but it is a value drive.

Corsair Force 40GB F40 2.5" SATA-ll Solid State Drive for £94.99
Is this worth the extra??

OCZ Vertex 2E 40GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive for £99.99
Same as above.

If you can stretch £35 more the 60gb vertex is available on special. 40gb does not leave much space after install, drivers and all the other stuff. I got win 7, drivers, flash etc and WOW and i got 21.7gb left.

Read/write speeds both over 200mb even on an old 680i m/b
