I am looking to get a new SSD for my rig (see signature). I will put the Intel 510 in the pc I am building for my brother.

I am looking to spend around £200 or bit under to get fast SSD from the current range of products. So far I have got the following on my list:

Intel 520 180 Gb
OCZ Vertex 4 256 Gb

Are there any others I should be considering? My main uses for the machine are a mix of Gaming and Web/Database Devlopment.

don't bother with OCZ the best are either samsung, crucial or intel

Crucial RealSSD M4 256GB - £191

Samsung 256GB SSD 830 Desktop Series £199

Samsung is so much win :)

Dont get the desktop one, get the laptop / apple version though, its cheaper...

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Vertex 4 drives! Other than being a bit pricier than your other two suggestions.

Though I agree that best bang-for-buck, are either the Sammy 830, or the Crucial M4.
