This is annoying me now i really can't decide what avenue to go down:
I have a: Gigabyte P55A-UD3 with SATA 3 marvel Controller
After cancelling my order for the vertex 3 due to the speed reductions of around 120mb i thought maybe i should hit a different route.
I won't be changing my Mobo until we see probably the Haswell stuff as there is plenty of upgradeability in what i have at the moment and Haswell is only 2 or so years away.
I have also wanted a bigger than 120gb SSD and considered getting 2 120s eventually due to their lack of size.
Vertex 3 £240 and i won't ever get the full worth out of it so essentially throwing money away. As by the time i get a new board there will be new SSD's out.
The Intel 320 160GB £240 Speeds seem no upgrade really on previous tech, but more space.
Or do i simply go for OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB 2.5 at £170 and save the £70 and put it towards a second drive in 4 months time or something?
Are there any arguments currently for me to still go get a Vertex 3 if i don't plan on changing my board? I assume the main one will be if i get the Vertex 2E i will get around 280mb read with Vertex 3 even on marvell i will get 380mb I'm just not sure its worth spending £70 on 100mb.
