Which storage hard drive?

I'm thinking of getting a 1.5tb hard drive as i'm always running out of space! but i'm not sure which one to go for.

I'm i right in saying that the WD caviar green runs at 5400rpm? Because some sites say 5400rpm and some say 7200rpm.

Also, which one is better in terms of reliability and performance? The caviar green or the ecogreen f2?

Is there a big difference in performance between 5400rpm and 7200rpm drives? Because until i get a 640gb caviar black hdd, i'm going to put my games on whichever drive i get. But i'd rather have 1.5tb slower storage than 1tb faster storage, and i don't want to spend more than £80 really.

Greens are nearly ALL 5400, so I'd be very surprised if it was 7200rpm. Performance-wise, it'll make a difference running games off of a 5400 especially if you plan on recording them with fraps or torrenting while gaming. Still, as a storage drive it makes sense to get a quiet efficient drive so as a stop-gap on the way to a caviar black it'll be fine.

Nah i'm not usually doing anything while i game so it should be alright temporarily.

So the Samsung or WD for reliability?
