now i'm contemplating a new build ealry next year. and i'm looking at various options for storage.

my primary concern is gaming (mainly fm2012) but some f fps thrown in as well

i know pretty much what i'm going to go for the rest of my build but i want something..... interesting for my storage.

all my important stuff is on external usb drives and my game collection is available via steam on the end of a fast internet connection so i dont really care about loosing data etc. its not a deal breaker

i've been looking at various options and i'd like some opinions on the following ideas

Raid0 ssd - not sure about the lack of garbage collection etc etc performance degradation

SAS raid 0 - pair of decent sas drives can be picked up quite cheap on the bay along with a decent controller. not sure about this i've no experience with sas and whilst it would be fun to play with something new would it have the oomph to match the others.

4xsata drives in a raid 0 obv with a dedicated raid card.

anyone care to offer their experiences/thoughts on any of the above setups any potential pitfalls i may have overlooked or even other options i've not considered?
