Which System i7 920 or i5 2500k

Overclocking on my board (the one specced above ) is just one click of the mouse, I can run 4.6GHz this way without having to alter anything else ;)

Its gotta be harder than that right? Last time i done this i had to go into bios and change the multiplier and mhz. The above seems 1000 times easier.

Nope it really is THAT simple, if you want to push for 5GHz then you'll have to do it manually. But even that's pretty simple ;)

Im very tempted to build my own then if that is how easy it is :) In the past i had to fiddle around with mhz etc which was a pain.

What do you guys you to cable tidy the wires? Also, do you guys actually wear anti static wrist bands to build? I have always built mine on a wooden table.

Looks good, why the OEM 2500k. Get the Retail one, better warranty, spare cooler incase you ever have a problem with the H60 and the Retail one's £2 cheaper

The XMS3 is on sale this week and is slightly faster than the HyperX.

Also I would go with the retail version of the 2500k as you get an extra 2 years warranty and save £2 this week!

How about this for £900?

if your after gaming the extra offered by the 2600k will be wasted.

6950 is a better card than the 550ti and deffo better for a 24" monitor, could drop the 6950 to the 6870 if your looking to save money.

why are you getting 2 x 1tb drives ?, unless your going to raid them get the samsung f4 2gb.

if price is an issue go with the crucial m4 64gb drive.

heard varying things on the case/quality.

go for the Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler.

not a bad price, considering it includes a 24" monitor, thing i would be concerned with is the 550ti gfx card as i a mentioned don't think it would be that hot on a 24" screen at 1920.

do you have a requirement for the monitor or do you already have one ?

have a look at the Iiyama ProLite B2712HDS.

in that case i wouldn't go with that previous spec as it doesn't include the monitor , you'll need a decent graphics card to game on a 27" screen.

Decided to go for the £900 system since this incorporates the faster chip and SSD/HDD. The GPU might be low now but in future i can change this if this isnt sufficient for my needs :)
