Which Tablet.... forum?

It seems daft, people wanting to know about Tablet A might post in the second forum not the first and therefore miss information etc.

There are quite a few things that can be in multiple sub sections. Questions about speakers often get split between sound city and home cinema and hifi for example.
Then you could argue that threads about SSD's should be in memory as opposed to hard drives as they have no moving parts.
I don't really know of an easy solution however, maybe make a new tablets section?

True but this is a tad different as it specifically says 'Tablets' in the forum names

This sub forum seems completely out of place in the Life forum imo.
Perhaps separate sub forums for Microsoft and Google along with Apple in a Mobile Phone, Tablet, O/S and Software forum would be better?

Tablets so seem to be getting more and more popular, so I think it would be a good idea to give them their own section, and would hopefully cause less confusion.
Laptops and Tablets is just a remnant of when tablets were just touch screen devices with XP. However Windows 8 tablets will be discussed more here and so that could have been removed.
Apple forum, as mentioned, people get annoyed if alternatives are mentioned there and often not worthy of even comparing in the opinion of some posters.

It's not - did you read this forum around the time it was decided to move everything Apple away from here? That's basically what happened - people didn't like talk of other devices in Apple threads.
Back when tablets were just laptops without a keyboard there was 'Mobile Phones' and 'Laptops & Tablets'. Then the iPad happened and suddenly most tablets were running mobile phone operating systems, so 'Mobile Phones' became 'Mobile Phones & Tablets'. The Apple forums are from before the iPad was released, and my guess is they were made to counter PC/Mac flame wars in the other forums.
The Apple forum was originally the 'Apple Mac' forum, but when people started talking about other devices iPhone threads a decision was taken to create an 'Apple Hardware' forum, where people could just talk about Apple and nothing else and move all the iPhone/iPad threads there.
This, AV Forums seem to do this and I bet you the animosity on there is a lot lower than here.
Who am I kidding, these forums wouldn't be where it is today without the animosity between fanboys
