maybe i got carried away, but i stopped into the land of shirts and bought one

the only dissapointing thing is the g sensor other than that its brilliant. Just need to source a cheap 32gb microsd now.

I'm waiting for the prices to drop. I refuse to pay over £250 when I can get a new netbook for that, which has a much wider scope of things it can do, plus a proper keyboard.

Really? Does it work properly then so I can use it in games etc? I tried it on Reckless racing and it was a no go.

Im on 1.09 with the add on pack to allow market etc, i will try a custom rom when I get my 32gb card

Is it easy to do? Flashed my desire a thousand times but still nervous about doing this

about usb, can it read files from a usb dongle? I plugged on in before and nothing seemed to happen?

Damn you all to hell. I'm now going to have to go into the purple shirt place and look at one of these Vega's.

Can anyone recommend a decent shower gel to remove the "dirty" feeling when I leave the shop??

How on earth did you brick it? All you do is run a batch file on the host PC

Did you have the correct USB drivers installed?

I was trying to install the usb host switcher, it installed and when i selected host usb it rebooted as it should and then just hung at a black screen "starting fastboot usb download protocol"

I dont have my usb cable here to try and flash it again, im sure its ok but cant be used atm

got it back to 1.09 but I cant install the usb drivers for some reason? win7 x64

any ideas when i point to the directory there in under I have disk it doesnt see anything

Yes 64 bit isn't supported. You'll need a 32 bit XP or Linux to use the USB drivers. A live CD like Ubuntu may work

No, just do what the readme says

Installation

To install this ROM (without using ClockworkMod recovery):
Ensure you have USB debugging enabled on your device (enabled in Settings->Applications->Development)
If you are using Windows, your USB 'Android Developer Bridge' driver MUST be the one included in this download (use 'Have Disk' functionality in device manager to change if required)
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and extract on your Windows PC, Linux PC or Mac
Connect your device to your PC
At a command prompt / terminal, ensure you are in the directory you extracted the files, and run 'install-windows.bat', './install-linux.sh' or './install-mac.sh' as appropriate
Wait for your device to reboot!

cheers again, ive managed now but am having some issues with the r8 rom, my wreckless racing isnt running full screen anymore it didnt actually wipe any of my apps etc from before so not sure if thats the problem. im trying to reflash it as the usb switcher prog was there im sure but its since vanished. If I cant sort it i think ill just go back to the 1.09 rom and put the market addon back on.

*edit* reflashed r8 and it seems ok now. does the prebacked one include the performance pack?
