OK, so I have my E6600 @ 3.2GHz with Geil RAM @ 890MHz 4-4-4-12
on my P5W-DH (356x9 @ 1.45v BIOS, little less in CPU-Z)
Everest reports CPU temp as circa 39/40C in normal operation, Core Temp says 50-53C normal. Even with a SuperPi 32m run, these temps do not change much - perhaps up to 55C in Core Temp and 42/43C in Everest - and this is all with stock Intel HSF. Ambient case temp seems to be around 35-40C, with mobo reporting 50-52C in Everest and HDDs high 30s....and my Crossfire X1900 setup no doubt chucking a fair bit around !
For me, I am thinking this is pretty darn fine......especially as I have either my trusty Gigabyte G-Power available and a brand new Scythe Ninja Plus on standby (laziness, I am afraid
).....but my question is are these temps fine ?? I understand that Everest and Core Temp report differently.....and - if this is the case - what should I consider 'safe' temps ?
