Which Thermal Paste?

I'm going to swap over a control board in a patio heater which seems pretty simple but the instructions say at step 9 to paint the triac with thermal paste:

Intructions

I'm not sure which type of paste to be using and would appreciate a bit of help from you extremely knowledgeable people.

Part of me thinks that the purpose of this is to transfer heat away from the triac via metal the casing of the heater so I'd need a conductive thermal compound but I wonder if that's right. On the other hand, would I really want the back of the exterior casing heating up as that could be dangerous so maybe I need a compound that's heat resistant to prevent it.

I think the former is probably correct as the whole thing is roasting hot when it's on anyway and no one could actually go near it until it's switched off. It would also be helping to keep the circuit board enclosure a bit cooler I suppose.

Any ideas before I burn the place down?

Just had a pleasant surprise.

Emailed the company I bought the board from and they're chucking some thermal paste in with my order. :)

I'll let you know if it's Arctic Silver.
