Which tyres?

2x Battlax T32s ordered, should be here Friday.

I can't speak for the T32, but I used a set of BT023's once and I gotta say I wasn't impressed, I moved over to Michelin Road 5 at the time and much better.

I also used some Dunlop Qualifyers in the past they were good but lasted like 5 minutes.

I'm sure you'll get on ok though, if not, can I have your stuff?

I've done quite a bit of digging on these tyres and everyone speaks highly of them. As to who my stuff goes to, I don't really care, I'll be in a box :D

You’d have to do something really really daft for a bike to fail it’s MOT, like leaving the chain too slack
*cough @tom_e *cough
:D

I've gone through most of the list, and double checked the head bearings as you suggested. All seems pretty good tbh. I've got one concern over the headlight but I reckon that's just me being a **** so I need to check it this weekend when I'm screwing it all back together.

Have a nose through..
if your not sure about what they’ll check.

They're on the bike but not even ridden yet. I should probably update my progress thread, if I can find a site to host my images

Gonna hafta get a set of rubber for the Kwak. It'll be social and pleasure only, no commuting. Wet weather will be very infrequent, if ever. Not looking to set lap times, just want something that'll stop when I tell it to, grip when I need it to, look decent, and not cost £lol.

Any suggestions?

Ta :)

Just fitted Michelin Power 6 to try. I wanted something that was softer then a Road 6 but harder then an S22/23 as i don't do track days and only ride in the rain when i have to.

Ah I was very close to trying the Power 6 as a step up from the Road 6, but it being winter and 230 quid (185 for the Road 6) changed my mind. If I do enough miles over winter I'm hoping to put one on for summer though.

It annoyed me that I could not find a single review that compared the Road 6 vs Power 6 for wet & dry road riding.

The Power 6 is classed as 90% road & 10% track tyre and most reviews of it were about how good or bad it was on a track

Hmmm.

Not sure my riding will justify this much over the others tbh.

How much am I gonna hafta push to notice the benefits of the Michelin's over the others?

Also, how much difference is there between the Road 5 and Road 6?

Christ, hornetstinger will have a bike before I get this lot sorted.

Don't think i would touch the Bridgestone ones.Haven't really liked either my dunlop or bridgestone tyres i had in the past.
Pay the extra and get either Metzeler or Michelin ;)

Yep I've only found anecdotal talk and nothing useful. I hope they go nicely for you as I want the excuse!

I just come back from doing about 50 miles in rain & wet and am pleased with them so far.
But braking in the wet seemed to be very good and had no problems when hitting wet drain covers on corners and going over painted road lines/signs or Acceleration grip
Of cause i didn't try any crazy lean angles with it being wet & shiny new rubber.

But note of cause i will be doing much lower speeds in guernsey then what you would be doing in england.
