Which underlay?

Treadaire dreamwalk 11mm for all except stairs. Stair runner has treadaire treadmore crumb 8mm.
Last house I specked cloud 9 11mm, much a muchness in my opinions.

The 15 year old cloud 9 I removed in this house wasn’t in bad shape, just a little soft in traffic areas.

Bump here but in terms of carpet for a bedroom on our top floor so it’s the kids rooms above our master what’s best for to minimise floor below? The foam stuff like cloud 9 or traditional rubber?

we went for foam cloud nine or something like that. We also put acoustic insulation in between the joists. It won't stop impact thumps, but cuts down general airborne transfer. If thumpy feet are the issue also consider a resilient damping mat below the foam (assuming you don't want to start lifting boards and the like).

We got ours done recently from a local company. The underlay is 12mm thick and I'd the foam stuff. All I can tell you is the name on the foam and it just says floorwise. Very soft underfoot though. Came to about 80 quid I think for 18 Sqm.
