Which Universal Remote?

They're all pretty much identical as far as controlling devices goes.

I personally think it's stupid to pay ~£100 (or even £69 as you posted) for a One, when a £35 525 will work exactly the same, unless the looks are really worth that much to you. It's not like the lower end Harmonys look bad though.

A Few have complained about the button placement on the 555...

Being to close together....

Considering I nearly just bought a used 555 on MM for 40 I think I got a good deal...

Anyway if its pap it goes back!

Google Harmoy one £69 and all will be revealed.

It just doesnt do what I want it to do and have to go with the two handed option. But then, controling your underfloor heating at a certain time of day from a Harmony One might have been asking a lot. :)

I did google but was concerned that the sponsored link was a scam! Got there in the end though thanks.

Can the Harmony one control RC dimmable lights such as these?

I assume the answer is yes but can you set up different "moods" ie film at night where it would bring on the DVD player, change the AV channel and dim the lights to say 25%

Thanks.

yes

Are any of the dimmable lights compatible with the standard energy saving bulbs or is it not possible?
If so can anyone recommend one.

Would really like one myself to use with my 555 but with the incoming eu ban on standard bulbs its a bit pointless unless your willing to stock up whilst you can.

i just use my onkyo remote. controls my amp, my tv, my pc, my xbox, v+.......even the apollo lighting kit behind my display. i couldnt even justify buying something like a logitech when my rc-690m does it all *shrugs*

I tried but couldn't get the Onkyo remote to work with my sky box.:o

Plus its not got a pretty flashy color screen!:o:p

if you cant get a pre-defined code to work, you can always program the buttons manually. it takes a bit longer obviosuly but hey, it saved me a fair amount of money:p
