It's a bad use of money when a 7950 crossfire combo for the same cash gives you a 384 bit bus which will perform far, far better at a higher resolution.

Same applies if you add AA. 660Ti performance nosedives.

It's closeish (not really THAT close) at 1080 without AA between the two cards (relatively speaking) but at higher res with AA the 660Ti becomes a very poor option.

Maybe ATi is the best option in this case. I am merely suggesting nVidia options, I am sure there are many ATi users who could suggest alternatives.

If it was my money, I would give this:

Yes but your recommendations generally aren't very good because you don't look at the full picture.

Single 7950 now and then look to get a second one either second hand or when prices drop to £200 and you're in the business and is a far better option than 660 SLI.

Plus you get a load of free games with a brand new 7950.

I'd rather have 2 7850's/70's than 2 660's to be fair because although these have a 256 bit bus, two of them will be OK for a large res with AA.

Cant believe people are still recommending reference 670's for 1440p :rolleyes:

Especially the POV brand, AKA POS.

Skodamart, the 7950 crossfire which rusty suggested may be about 50% more money, but at 1440p when overclocked probably performs close to double the 670 you suggested. Factor in the 2 sets of game codes he would get which he would sell and its excellent performance for the money. Of course he may have a preference/requirement of an Nvidia card, but purely looking at performance/cost (aka value for money) your suggestions are poor.
