Which version of Windows can I run?

Celeron cpu. 4GB Ram. 960 graphics card.

This is a Htpc build.

Can I run Windows 7 or 8

Depends what Celeron?

But if it's not older than 10 years either 7 or 8 will be fine.

I've just installed Windows 10 on an old single core Celeron D 326 2.533Ghz and it runs.

If it is really closer to 10 years than not the only issue you may have it might not run 64bit versions of windows and you'll have to stick with 32bit as I did with the above CPU.

that's ivybridge so not too old. you can run any version of windows you want.

I can safely say Windows 8.1 runs very nicely on a Celeron, especially with an SSD drive - you're looking at startup times of less than 10 seconds.

Might be worth checking out OpenELEC before installing Windows. I've got it running on an old dual core celeron system as my media centre.
