But if it's not older than 10 years either 7 or 8 will be fine.
I've just installed Windows 10 on an old single core Celeron D 326 2.533Ghz and it runs.
If it is really closer to 10 years than not the only issue you may have it might not run 64bit versions of windows and you'll have to stick with 32bit as I did with the above CPU.
