Hi all,

I currently use 2.4GHz wireless N range for streaming media files (ripped blu rays) from my PC to my tablet via my wireless network.

The files can be between 1.2 to 3GB in file size.

I use VLC player to do this using SMB as it seems to work best.

In your opinion is it worth upgrading my current tablet (Lenovo Yoga 3 10")? This tablet can only utilise the 2.4GHz range and not the 5GHz range.

Thanks for your adivce

That was what I was thinking but sometimes I find that some films (the larger file sizes such as star wars for example), can stutter. They are not buffering as far as I can tell so was wondering if it was due to the data rate over the wireless.

Mines is on PC and files are on a Mech Storage HDD, Wired through Router to Shield TV not as if I watch TV/movies 24/7 but PC does not need do much esp as most do not need transcoded.
