I have narrowed down the cars I am looking to buy in the next few weeks down to these five but cannot decide which to go for, I don't do many miles so fuel economy isn't an issue I just want something that looks good and doesn't hang about when I put my foot down. I will be buying the car new or the newest example I can get keeping within my £33,000 budget.

BMW 335i/d M Sport Coupe
Audi A5 3.0 TDI/3.2 FSI Coupe
Audi S3
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X
Nissan 350Z GT

Evo X followed closely by the S3 for me, when the criteria is strictly 'looks good and has to go like a rocket'

350Z has to be removed from the list becuase this is far too much money to spend on a Nissan, however good it is, and you can get 350Z's for £15k so why spend £33k on one?

Yea, I can see how when you drive an Escort 1.8TD, a 306bhp RWD twin turbo coupe with brilliant handling and a 6 speed box is 'utterly bland'.

Please keep your uninformed prejudice* out of this thread :)

*no, not like me with the 350Z - by all means buy one, but there is no need to spend £30k on one.

the 335i is apparently great or so i hear. Although i want a 350z so boh.
I do also adore the 335 drop top!

Probably the BMW or the A5, though unlike the rest of the world I think Audi's interiors are going down hill, which the A5 is an example. Quality is not as good as it used to be.

The reason I have put diesels on the list is because some are better than the petrol engines performance wise e.g. the A5 diesel does 0-60 in 5.9 but the petrol takes 6.1 and has less torque.
