Which would you prefer for a domain name?

Something I've been wondering for a while... Obviously registering BOTH is preferable, but if you were registering one domain which of these would you choose...

www.seeksdomain.com

www.seeks-domain.com

(Just examples... I have no intention of registering those btw!)

Of course even if registering both, one of them would still have to be picked as the main address.

i prefer names without the - however it wont make diddle squat different to your website the name as people will harldy just type in your domain name into the address bar but instead use say google, links from other sites so it wont really make a difference. If you feel ah one day this site will grow so popular everyone will want to come to it etc then i think seeksdomain is best choice, it's easy to tell where one word ends and the other begins so good choice, might want a - for domain names like, seekssite and as double ss looks silly, or even worse some site i can't remember was something like penisland as in pen island

honestly, I am too lazy to type the - into the address and much prefer addy's that are spelt as they sound.

thisisniceandsimple.com for instance, even though is a long addy would be easier for people to remember and tell others about than this-is-nice-and-simple.com.

The first one. Easier to tell friends. Will they understand you mean a word, then hyphen then another word or will they think you mean seekshyphendomain (word, word, word?)

Definitely without. I own matt-wood.co.uk and heartily wish I'd registered it without the hyphen. The hyphen makes it more difficult to communicate the address. I've also had problems using an @Matt-wood.co.uk e-mail address on a couple of sites, since the hyphen seems to confuse the verification script.

your example has an S at the end of the first word which suggests the hyphen might be appropriate..

but otherwise DEFINITELY WITHOUT!

my mates have a domain bad-lads-army.. and i've constantly suggested changing it to badlads, etc, etc.. having irregular characters just make a domain look poor imo

if u can get without then go for it.

I had this trouble with my real-hustle.com domain. I couldn't get realhustle.com so now everytime I tell people i have to say "real hyphen hustle dot com".
