Which xbox 360?

there seems to be three versions of the xbox 360. What's the difference?

I want to use it as a media extender. Got films on my main comp using vista media centre. Does anyone use it for this? does it work well.

Are they all capable of hdmi output? I wont be playing many games on it, maybe a few racing sims like forza and need for speed.

Core = basic xbox with a memory card for game saves (I think), wired controller, crap TV connection (scart?)
Premium = 60GB hard drive, wireless controller, headset, component cables (I think)
Elite = 120GB hard drive, wireless controller, headset, component cables, HDMI cable

I could be wrong, will check the specs on them in a mo. I would go with the 60GB as the component still gives a very good picture IMO, and they are only £160 now for the basic console (although there are good bundles with games).

I just bought the Arcade and used my PS3 HDMI cable and bought a 20gb HDD from the MM.

If it's just for a media extender and you won't use the HDD then get the arcade. They all have HDMI ports.

I'd say Premium is decent, Pro Evo took up 6gig and Gears of War took up 5 gig to install on it. And I think it's better just to pay the extra instead of getting the Arcade and then a hard drive..i was in the same position as you and wasnt sure what to do about 4 weeks ago!

Get the Premium for the 60GB HDD so you can load plenty games onto it and have a silent Xbox

as long as it has a HDMI port on the back of it. Best off asking the person selling it on MM if it has

You need to check if it is one with the HDMI port. The early ones don't have HDMI.
