The new build list:

Antec P180 mini (uATX) (from old build)
AMD phenom II x2 555 BE (arrived, unlocked to 4 cores, 3.95ghz, 2.5ghz NB)
Thermalright TRUE (push + pull fans) (from old build)
DFI Lanparty JR 790GX-M2RS (arrived, supporting the above)
4GB Corsair XMS2 PC8500C5 (waiting on arrival, 1GB stick as hold over)
Sapphire HD 5870 1GB (waiting on arrival, have an HR-03GT I want to fit)
2x 320GB Western digital Raid edition 3 (raid 0) (from old build)
600W Coolermaster silent pro (from old build)

I have tweaked the motherboard with 1Mhz of where it is stable lol, collecting the GFX card on monday, hopefully the ram will be delivered too.
 
Gonna be a solid build :D
Overclocking before its all together may have been a waste of time though.
 
Well the CPU speed is pretty unreliant on the memory or the gfx card, especially as the newer steppings have stronger memory controllers anyway.
 
The 5 series from ATi have been throwing lots of overclocks off. SSOD some are calling it.
Stopped me from getting a 4GHz stable OC on a friends 920 D0.

Ive also had RAM changes (especially when your adding more DIMMs in) make overclocks unstable.
 
Possibly, but I was bored. We will see I guess.

Was running a 5770 in it before I sold it with no issues however...

Got a 9800GTX+ 1GB in there atm.
